The Finance Linkup ("we", "us") is an independent education website based in Trinidad and Tobago. This policy explains what happens to information when you use the site.
What we collect
- No accounts or forms. You do not need to sign up, and the site does not ask you for your name, money details or other personal information.
- Saved on your device. The site stores your light or dark choice and which lessons you have ticked off in your browser's local storage. This stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can clear it in your browser settings.
- Hosting records. The site is hosted by Wix. Like most web hosts, Wix may log technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and to run the service.
- Calculators. Numbers you type into the calculators are processed in your browser and are not sent to us.
Cookies and advertising
This site may show ads served by Google AdSense or similar advertising networks. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
- Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Where the law requires your consent before advertising cookies are used, for example for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we will ask for it through a consent notice before any personalised ads are shown.
Links to other sites
Our news and lesson pages link to other websites, such as news outlets and government bodies. We do not control their privacy practices. Please read their policies.
Children
This site is written for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
We aim to respect the data protection laws that apply to our visitors, including the laws of Trinidad and Tobago and, for visitors in the EEA and UK, the GDPR. Because we hold almost no personal information, there is usually little to access, correct or delete, but you can contact us at any time through the Contact page.
Changes
If we change how the site handles information, we will update this page and its date.
